Elective procedures will be performed from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday – Friday. <br /> <br /> Emergency or urgent care will be provided as needed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The unit consists of one procedure room for upper or lower GI procedures. Endoscopy procedures may be provided in other units, such as the OR. The same standards of care and practice will apply. <br /> <br /> Treatment activities may include patient assessment, pre-procedural teaching, performance of GI procedures, implementation of pre and post operative physician orders, post procedure assessment and care, verification of discharge instructions, discharge teaching and documentation of care provided. <br /> Physicians perform the diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.<br /> <br /> [[category:Ancillary_Services]]</div>
