Pediatric Critical Care Guide


CPR should be continued as safe and able in the field or village clinic.

In the latter environment, re-warming with blankets and heated IV bags for likely additional hypothermia will help the resuscitation effort.

Generally, without a confirmed pulse, a medevac should not be activated with the possible exception of drowning involving hypothermia in a nearby village.
