NAME OF ROLE | WHY TO USE IT | WHEN TO USE IT |
---|---|---|
BH Pharmacy On Call | The pharmacist that staff at our BH residential facilities should contact when they have medication questions | 9am to 10pm, every day |
Clinic A/B/C Pharmacist | to contact the clinic pharmacists that are located in Clinic A, Clinic B, and Clinic C teamrooms | Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm (except holidays) |
ER Pharmacist | to answer questions from the ER about prescriptions | 9am-10pm, Monday-Friday (except holidays) |
Inpatient Pharmacy On Call | to communicate about admitted patients, as well as ER and outpatient patients who need medication from the inpatient pharmacy. There may be some overlap between this role and the ER pharmacist role due to the fact that there is some overlap with regards to where in the building a medication comes from. If it’s an IV medication, the Inpatient Pharmacy on call will generally be the one to contact and if it’s an oral medication the ER pharmacist would be the right person. But don’t worry about that too much, the pharmacy staff will get you in touch with the right person. | 24 hours a day, any day |
LTC Pharmacy On Call | The pharmacist that staff at LTC should contact when they have medication questions (including needing refills of PRN medications and questions about items on the MAR) | 9am-10pm, every day |
Outpatient Pharmacy 1 and 2 | The pharmacists logged into these roles are the data entry pharmacists. They can be used to communicate with pharmacy staff regarding prescriptions that have been written, will be written, or to ask pharmacy related questions. | 8:30am-7:30pm, Monday-Friday (except holidays) |
